EVANS COOLING SYSTEMS, INC. high flow coolant pump and pulley combination for the hot-running GM LS1/LS6 engines. The new LS1 Coolant pump and pulley combination, part number EP3913, is designed to not only flow more volume but to offer sufficient cooling to the lone number 7 and 8. Flowing over 20 percent more than the OEM style replacement pumps, the EP3913 maintains equal flow to both cylinder banks at any engine RPM. OEM style pumps do not. Evans has improved the design of the OEM casting to include a Billet pulley hub, heavy-duty 3/4″ roller bearing, and ceramic shaft seal. The EP3913 also includes the Evans 3.8″ OD 8 vane scrolled impeller to reduce parasitic horsepower loss at high RPM.
Small pulley is designed for use with the stock crank pulley diameter.
Large pulley is designed for use with underdrive crank pulleys or extremely high RPM applications.
A new shorter serpentine belt must be purchased separately for the specific application. Belts are available through Evans Cooling Systems (Please specify Corvette – EB3913-C or Camaro / Firebird-EB3913-CF.)
To take full advantage of the increased flow capability of the EP3913, Evans has developed modified 160° (E3022) and 180° (E3023) thermostats specifically for use with the EP3913. The modified Evans thermostats flow up to 55 percent more coolant than other aftermarket thermostats.
Evans pumps are specifically designed to be used with there coolant NPG+C and typical install requires about 4 gallons.
The Evans Performance EP series is designed for serious competition and high performance engines using either Evans NPG™ or water-based coolants. Custom Evans housings, using a 356-T6 aluminum alloy, are available for SB and BB Chevys; these are heat treated and CNC machined for balanced flow. Modified OEM castings are available for most Chevy, Ford and Mopar high performance applications. All feature Evans computer-designed 8-vane aluminum impeller for maintaining maximum flow rates while using minimum HP. The result is maximum reliable HP in competition. These are the highest volume pumps in the industry, capable of 10,000 rpm. All EP series pumps are available with a ceramic coating for the ultimate corrosion protection and a chrome-like appearance.
